Academy is a unique opportunity for young people to explore their artistic
potential through professionally led workshops. We believe that through the arts, young people can express
their individual personalities and nurture their personal development. Our classes are designed to encourage social interaction and creative learning
as well as having lots of fun in a safe and comfortable environment.
The Academy is run by professional actors and teachers who have extensive
experience in the Arts Industry and will be joined throughout each week by other experts in each field.
3-6 yrs
10am-1pm For the younger ones, we believe that learning through play is most effective and
therefore these workshops include a mix of drama games, music and dance, craft work and a short peformance inspired by
poetry at the end of each week. The aim is for the children to feel confident in expressing themselves in a structured yet
relaxed environment, and most importantly for them to have a lot of fun.
7-12 yrs
10am-4pm These workshops include advanced drama games, Improvisation exercises, script work, character exploration,
issue-based theatre, set design, singing and dance. The week will culminate in a short self-directed peformance
inspired by the work explored in the Academy.
